Disk Partitions

• Linux Partition Types

  • Installation requires at least 1 native Linux partition
  • More partitions can be created if desired to seperate operating system files from user and log files
  • Installation also requires a small swap partition, used as virtual memory
  • Use 'fdisk' or 'cfdisk' to create/delete/manage partitions
